Custom Content


The files listed here are content you can add to the game they were designed for. Mostly maps and levels to games, but also the occasional other type of content as well. Modding games hasn't been an active hobby to me for the past years, so most of these are from early 2000, maybe even older.


CONTENT FOR TOTAL ANNIHILATION (1998-2003):

Total Annihilation is an RTS game from 1997, by Cavedog Entertainment. At the turn of year 2000, I was actively making new 3rd party content to the game, mainly in form of new units. The old site Unlimited Units is still kicking, but hasn't been updated since 2005. For more files and nostalgia, visit the website. Total Annihilation has recently appeared on sale at some of the digital distribution sites, such as Impulse and GamersGate, in case anyone is looking for this oldie.

Most of these files require your Total Annihilation to be v3.1 or newer, if I recall correctly. Some units may also required the Core Contingency expansion to be installed. See the documentation with the files for more info. Unless otherwise stated with the files, you only need to unpack them to the game directory (where totala.exe is located). To ensure compatibility, refrain from using other 3rd party content, except maps.
