BryanC requested me to post this preview of this catgirl commission I'm working on for the CCC. Razz

It's a catgirl building a snowcatgirl in a wintery setting:

As you can see, it's very much a work in progress thing. The catgirl has no colours yet, as I'm still working on the lines, and I'm actually going to ink the whole thing in higher res before colouring.

The background will have more trees with snow on them, and the snowing will look a little less like an airbrush storm. xP

Well, I suppose you may post feedback on this, since BryanC wanted me to put the preview here. ^^

Looking good. I'm looking forward to both this and the Lingerie Thingerie calendars.

Feedback is welcome Wink

It is very awesome! There needs to be more snowcatgirls in the world!

You may have to wait a while for the calendar, since it only gets worked on when I can snag a commission form HitmanN. Although so far it looks like 5 out of 12 are set and HitmanN has kindly offered to finish it off with the cover when it is almost done!

At first I was going to mention the gravity defying snow, but then I realized the catgirl isn't any less real. This of course got me thinking, and you know what happens when I start thinking about things. . . Very Happy

The only real suggestion I could make is instead of having a catgirl build a snow-catgirl, change it to two snow-catgirls building each other (both mostly finished building and being built) in the same sort of setting.

If you use a little water to freeze the snow solid, kinda like welding pieces together, you can do some pretty wacky shapes with it, without it falling apart. Like this: http://www.yamasa.org/member/wally/images/sapporo_hamtaro_450.jpg (googled for 'snow statue')

Anyhow... I think the scene would look pretty lonely with two completely white snowcatgirls. sweat drop A little colour does good, me thinks, so I'd rather keep the 'normal' catgirl as normal. Razz

I also think it needs a bit of color. Although with an army of self building snowcatgirls, it should be fairly easy to take over the north and south poles!

There are two main problems with snowcatgirls. Melting and frostbite sweat drop

Oh wow, it really is Hamtaro! I notice the right side is a bit shinny from the ice, but the rest looks more like snow.

Color. . . Red and Green are the usual Christmas colors although oddly enough they are also associated with death. (Green has a much older and more forgotten association with death such as the sickly green horseman Death of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.)

First of all, big gigantic huge apologies for BryanC for taking so long with this. I still haven't started on the final version, but I improved the lines of the preview a bit (slightly less wonky now, I think), and added quickie colours for the catgirl, to give a better idea of the image as a whole. I'm also thinking about adding more defined clouds, and many silhouettes of trees in the bottom of the background in the final. No snowing in this preview, but it'll still be there. Wink

Currently I have scheduled the final version for next Monday, but it still remains to be seen if there's going to be a few additional days of delay. sweat drop

Anyways, I hope you like the slight changes BryanC, and the others too. Kitty! ©FeenaFlame

It is looking absolutely awesome! The colors are very nice, and even though this is not as detailed as the final I like how you can see her breath. It must be really chilly.

I don't mind the wait. After it is done we shall be one step closer to world domination! *cough* I mean Completing the Catgirl Calendar! Kitty! ©FeenaFlame

I said I'd finish this on Monday, didn't I? Very Happy Well, it's not completely complete yet, the full size version still needs cleaning, but this is pretty much how the final looks. ^^ I rather like the results myself.

And coincidentally, we just had this winter's first snow today here in Southern Finland. Very Happy Though I heard tomorrow we'll get plenty more.

Looks great! Same here with the snow too, and if it keeps up as it has been might get over an inch of it soon.

I see the forest has grown and evolved, the clouds have rolled in, the snow is falling and piling up, and many misc changes to shine and shadow. It's interesting to watch the evolution of art.

??? The leftmost tree seems to have a different idea of what direction is up than the other trees.

It's great! Now I just need it to snow here so I can build my own snow catgirl!

The left most tree does seem to be leaning in a bit. Unfortunately for that tree it will most likely be left out of the calendar due to the ratio constraint for the calendar. Interesting how it did not stick out as much when there were less trees (It could just be my imagination though).

I like how there are little bits of snow accumulating on the tops of everything. I don't think I have ever seen snow fall, but I imagine this is what it would look like.

Snow looks a lot like fallout except snow looks much less disconcerting.

Sometimes in southern Arizona we will get snow although usually it doesn't get cool enough for the snow to build up.

If it bothers you, then it's pretty easy to just rotate it a bit. The orientation of the trees is intentional though. If you look at the right most tree, it's also leaning to the left, and the trees between them in a somewhat crescent formation. I dunno what the effect is called, but sorta like worm eye plus fish eye lens or something. xP

I did kinda notice the left tree myself too, but figured I'd test it with you guys first. xP Guess I'll need to lessen the curve on those left trees a bit.
