This thread shall be the headquarters for the Cute Catgirl Calendar Crusade

The idea is simple we crusade for enough cute catgirl images to make a calendar.

Image properties:
1) Focus must be on catgirls (exceptions for Erika and MiSha wearing cat accessories)
2) Images must be high resolution 1680x1050 (so that it also acts as a wallpaper until the calendar is done) and be scalable to 1.29:1 (for the calendar)
3) Images must be high in detail
4) Images must have 'strategic' parts covered.

Currently I have two commission slots to help fill out the sparse calendar. I would like some help deciding what months to do next and ideas for images for those months.

I have an idea for March, or April (I think easter can be in either of these months) we could have a catgirl dressed as a bunnygirl!

For February there is always some sort of valentines day theme. Feel free to suggest poses and backgrounds.

Let me help a little.

In case people are confused about this whole thing, what BryanC is trying to do is to commission as many catgirl images from me as it takes to form a calendar.

With 3 images commissioned, and both auction slots to be used for the cause, that's almost half the months already. I'm willing to help out with the last few images for free, if things get that far. I'll be there to help with the covers at least. Quite the competitor for the Lingerie Thingerie calendar.

Mwell, of course you'll have to have the enviroment fit as well as you can with what month it is :3! (Summer = Warm colours - Winter = Cold colours, and so fourth)

I feel awkward giving suggestions for someone else's commission, but I'll try to help. I think you should avoid using holidays as the themes. I mean they are only one day out of the entire month, plus those themes are way over done. I can understand a few key ones like halloween and christmas, but in general avoid the holiday themes. Instead you should focus on thematic events like weather, colors of the month, plants and animals associated with that particular month, etc. For instance, a picture of a cute catgirl playing in a pile of leaves, perhaps with a small woodland friend? would make a much better november picture than a catgirl dressed as a pilgrim or turkey or something. You can really play off cat's natural curiosity by having them explore the various things that happen each month/season.

So for a few examples:

January - Catgirl inside watching the snow fall, completely fascinated, perhaps with some hot chocolate nearby
April - Catgirl on a porch or under a patio wanting to play in the beautiful spring flowers, but hesistant because of the rain
June, July, or August - A catgirl exploring the wonders of a beach
November - Catgirl playing in a pile of leaves, perhaps chasing a furry woodland creature

These kinds of pictures are, imho, more fun to draw and more exciting (cute) than holiday pictures which are a dime a dozen, and only represent a single day of the month.

*edit* but in all fairness, christmas and halloween are a bit different, since you spend a significant amount of time preparing for them so it does kind of become representative of the month (if you celebrate it)

For the backgrounds and colors I would try to match them with the seasons, but since I live in a place without to much difference between seasons so most of the seasons would turn out like summer if I based it on my experience, so I'll accept all the help I can get there. I'm also not sure which colors are which so I'll leave that up to HitmanN to decide

For the holidays, Easter will probably be the last holiday. I just think a catgirl dressed up as a bunnygirl would look way too cute, and is the current direction the single character drawing is headed in.

I really like the catgirl watching the snow fall would be great. There will probably be at least one beach seen and one rainy scene. The leaves are a great idea as well.

For the type of catgirls used, they should be more girl that cat. Just ears and a tail. Their personality can be more cat than girl but I think they should also look intelligent as well.

I'm leaning toward the snow scene with one or two catgirls in it. Does anyone think having one is the best? or two is the best?

Just for the hell of it I'll suggest a theme for June, Gemini (astrology.) Twin catgirls each wearing glasses, one red and one blue, with the traits associated with Geminis: intellectual, Joyful, playful, out-going, and extroverts. Maybe the scene should be as if they both were studying and one has moved into a position ready to pounce and play.

But then again what do I know about catgirls?

imo, the best catgirls are the ones that look human but behave more like cats. Tis why I still love mithras so much ^^ All the adorableness of a kitten with the sexy body of a woman

Ah anyways, the number of catgirls depends on how you want them to interact. Cats can be really cute when they are all gathered at the window, and they all move their head the same way, completely fascinated. Then other times, one cat will be so focused on whats going on outside while the other one pounces on their tail or nibbles on them, etc (I just adopted two kittens a few months ago, if you can't tell >.<; ). On the otherhand, having multiple catgirls can be more of a distraction from what's going on in the picture, so it's kind of a balance between cuteness and sexyness.

As for colors, well I'm no expert on it either, but you could just google images for each month and you'll probably see a general color pattern. December is obviously white, green, and red. October is orange, red, and yellow. November is like october but with more brown and duller colors. May is bright colors... blues, greens, gold, etc.

Do some more research on google for months, and you'll probably find each has certain flowers and plants associated with them, animals, smells, etc. All of those could be used as themes for clothes, backgrounds, or behavior. Or you could use zodiac signs like nybbles suggested. I don't believe in them at all, but they still provide neat ideas for personality archetypes and the such.

Here's another suggestion for a summer month... a catgirl on a boattrip XP The attraction of fish vs fear of water always makes for interesting reactions hehe

I like the Gemini theme for June as well as the boat trip, maybe combining the two and having catgirl sisters playing in/on/near the water. Maybe one reading a book on the beach while the other is jet-skiing, or the traditional one where they are splashing each other in the water, or they could be snorkeling looking for fish.

For Easter I was thinking for easter of having the catgirl have a white fluff ball on the end of her tail, and just wearing a rabbit ear headband. Then she would be wearing something like a bunny suit seen here or here. Although I do think the catgirl coming out of an egg would be cute too.
